Ask to see two complete galleries, not just highlights. Ask who will actually be shooting on the day. Ask how many weddings they take per month.

Ask about backup equipment, backup files and what happens if they fall ill. Ask how long delivery takes and what a typical gallery contains.

A good photographer will answer all of these without hesitation.
